The folks at the court house are very good at helping with family research

and all other needs as always. Special thanks to these folks who keep track of important info

* a round of applause for them* I did notice that if there is potatoe soup around they are not willing to share but it was lunch time.

no names are mentioned to protect the soup!!!

The smell lingered through the hall and makes you want to grab a chair a share that lunch*Maybe next time***
The leaves have started the change of ambers, golden yellows, dusty browns and pine and sweet grass smells scent the air.

Red Maple leaves are bursting out for the dance of autumn.

The people are getting ready for winter stacking fire wood or ordering coal for fires as fuel prices surge. We are a sturdy folk and know how to stay warm.

Harper family members:

I have started collecting data for registration to historical societies once again.

If all goes well we won't have anymore delays with this ?
This will take some time to once again gather the necessaryy forms but it will be worth it!!
All info collected comes from family history, research from deeds, pictures,

the Airport School house site where my mom and others went to school.

I am blessed that my family were a big part of Webster and it's history.

Special thanks to Lynn * my sis* for 12 years of looking up names, birthdates and locations_

I like deeds and history so I salute humbly to your hobby turned adventure

Thanks go to the court house for answering questions about deeds and yes I know they were annoying but who knew? I am proud to be apart of such history that built this town.

Our Creeks are officially registered, even Toddy creek, damaged 4 years ago is still listed is Charleston and we hope to find someone to restore it soon.. Volunteers are welcome

I will be posting pictures ofGrandma's Restaurant that was a good memory for many in our little town *good people are never forgotten* and neither are those peanut butter shakes.

The Custard Stand is famous for the Chili sauce on the best hotdogs in America. I miss it already ...See you soon

This is my opinion and they have caught the attention of a company who thinks so too

Folks if you have never been to Webster Springs and tried these HOTDOGS with the special chili** Feel free to look things up here-you won't regret it

get a map , grab your keys(driving there is worth the trip)
The other restaurants like Vickie's place and others have great food too!..The the Bacon Cheeseburger is WOW!!!!



Holloween ghosts and pumpkins are in front yards and decorations are up for the

Candy event of the year!!!
Rules for trick or treat!
Now the mission here is to check the candy.. Yep-I know it looks good and someone needs to check that candy.. I know they won't eat it before you do???
Make sure you have a flashlight or a really cool glow in the dark stick to light the way.
Bundle trick or treaters up in warm clothes. You might want to wear something warm too

Having a good time with your family is the main objective but keep Safety first
